Going along with the 90’s era of shoegaze within the last few posts, Should have also been out of play for some years. Their last effort was a remastered culmination of an EP plus some singles and covers entitled ‘a folding sieve’.

They’re now working on a new album to be released sometime this year. ‘Glasshouse’ is the first preview available. It doesn’t have layered, distorted guitars or echo-ridden drums recognizable from their heyday but you should check it out nonetheless.

Here’s My Bloody Valentine opening their London ICA set with ‘only shallow’. The mp3 is a different source and although not perfect, definitely sounds better than the video!

Vocals were apparently near-inaudible at the show. I’m sure we’ll get much better copies during their ‘real’ upcoming tour.
